Schouten China’s employees sponsor a charity project in the south west of China by collecting second hand children’s cloths and sending them to children which are not as fortunate as other children in China to buy new cloths.

What is the SAFEA?
The State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) is authorized by the State Council.

SAFEA’s main functions are:

• Designing the development strategy of foreign intellectual resources,
• Studying and formulating relevant policies, rules and regulations,
• Approving plans of ministries and local governments for inviting foreign experts and overseas training programmes,
• Supervising implementation, formulating, improving and supervising standards and the administration concerning foreign experts working in China and overseas training of Chinese people.

SAFEA is also responsible for licensing schools that hire foreigners. Obtaining a proper SAFEA license to hire foreigners is a long and non-trivial process.

Due to a well-kept contact between Mr. John Zhang (Board member of Schouten China) and Mr. Yi, SAFEA Chief in Germany and after visiting the Schouten Global Head Premises in Zaltbommel last year, SAFEA approved our application as a foreign training agent in the Netherlands. This means: The Chinese government officially granted us the license for receiving Chinese delegations in the Netherlands for training purposes.
